as you all know, i bricked a v3re pretty bad. hellomoto, then off. then white screen, then off, then white screen, then off. etc. im here to tell you how to fix that.
1. force bootloader mode by pressing * + # then put battery in.
2. flash THIS (http://www.modmymoto.com/forums/downloads.php?do=file&id=7256) with FB3.
3.flash THIS (http://www.modmymoto.com/forums/downloads.php?do=file&id=7329)with rsd lite.
4.flash THIS (http://www.modmymoto.com/forums/downloads.php?do=file&id=7330) with rsd lite. you should be good to go now.

hope this unbricks some phones.

Is the last flash with the T-Mobile stock MP an unlocked MP?

Is there something wrong with the files?
When I try to unzip using WINRAR, I get an error message "unexpected end of archive".
Am I doing something wrong or are the files not valid?

sometimes the dowlaods ( for me) dont completely download bu for some reason its says theyre %100 complete, i guess you can try to download them again

That appears to be the problem.
After download, the size of each of the three files is between 250KB and 450kb.
Looks like the down load site is having a problem.

I have 6 V3re's all unlocked using IMEI unlock method. I don't mind uploading to rapidshare a full backup using FB3 but is there info that would be included that would allow someone to hack or steal my phone info? I've already erased the contacts and have not activated on any carrier but am concerned with any other info that may put my phone at risk.

Is there any special preparation/editing I should do before making public or is it safe "as is" ?

tried touse motorola updater to fix this but they say i already have the newest version of software.:fryingpan:

if its working, downgrade the sw, then re use the updater.

As was said, get one of them configured like you like it, then do a "Master Clear" from the "Initial Setup" menu and then do a full flash backup using F&B3.0.7. I would LOVE to get my hands on one that was originally a T-Mobile and then unlocked so I could try and remake my Monster Pack with the MyFaves enabled !! :tapdance:

Thanks 98 !! I bricked my V3Re just like you did, but your last file, the Stock T-Mobile backup saved me and I was finally able to restore my phone to its original version (with my New MP I posted yesterday) just fine!! :sigh:

Just because the backup is unlocked, it doesn't mean that restoring it will unlock an already locked phione, it just means it will not re-lock an already unlocked phone.

I noticed that, I flashed it and nothing!
I guess the only way to unlock a V3re is by Smart Test Point or IMEI method, i wish i had the tools for smart TP... :zap:

thats a good question, I also have the doubt.
Here in cuba all phonens must beb unlocked to be used, of someone breaks the phone and oit has to be repaireed that that person nwill have to pay about 25 USD to unloick the phone again !!

Cant the 3rd flash file be replaced by an unlocked Monster pack hevaily modifed which is poisted on download area?

well i have tried doing this, to no avail. Thought, it seems to boot, because the hello moto bootscreen animation loads, then i get white, then i get the ''desktop'', then white, black, ''desktop'',black, white..... And it seems to be working, because if im fast enough to enter a number or click a menu button before it goes blank, it works. I dunno what to do :(

ok i did the same thing, hellomoto then white screen etc, i was trying to free up some memory on my v3re and guess i deleted something i shouldnt have. my question is how do i use fb3 and rsd lite, im very new to phone modding. i managed to get the funlights/clublights up and running but thats the only mod i have done so far prior to attempting to free up space. so anyone who could tell me how to use those 2 programs, i would greatly appreciate it

Procedures with RSD Lite and FB3 are the same for any p2k phone, like v3r or v3 or L7, but you have to set the phone profile to v3re, and only the newest versions of those programs have them build in.

ya i figured it out, flashed the iphone MP and now it works great, even have opera mini browser, now im off to edit and create my own ringtones hehe, thx a bunch

O.K. I couldn't wait so I took the plunge. I started with an AT&T v3re with the same symptoms and flashed the first two files as instructed then I flashed the stock NA motorola MP found elsewhere on this site then flashed the stock unlocked AT&T from the download section. I am happy to report a fully functional AT&T v3re. Thank you 98xploder.

Use your original stock backups before you flashed your phone. Trust me, it will work.

every time i try and flash using fb3, but phone turns off right after the loader is sent and the JUMP is completed. then all cg groups fail to send and the phone turns back on. am i screwed?

Are you using FB3.07 and are all drivers installed correctly? Are you on Vista?

After examining the flash files carefully, it appears that those files at the beginning are just a full MP and a bootscreen, followed by a full MP. Nothing magic, lol.
