Hello. Newbie here. Flashed my phone twice & am hooked :)

Got a couple of questions though. Maybe you can help, maybe not

1. Motorola's wonderful audio low-battery indicator.. ya know the one I'm talking about with that horrid screetching sound... anyway to mod that without losing all sound (s)? I've been told no-its all the sound goes or stays.
2. Used to have Verizon. Then switched to TMobile and now Cingular. With VZW, I had the option, when replying to TM's to chose "reply" or "reply with copy"... the difference being that with RWC I would type my reply and below that would be the original incoming message. Can not for the life of me find any setting to switch from one to the other... please help :)
And 3rdly, using flashbackup 6.2.6... correct me if I am wrong but it seems like that does *NOT* back up any text messages, quick notes, or photos or sounds. I know with MPt it'll backup yur contacts and calendar and i know you can copy photos and sounds but thats not a back up per se.
Thank you.

I'm new to this as well so take what I say with a grain of salt. But, using p2k commander I deleted all the AlertFilexxx.mid/.bas files except AlertFile107.bas which HAS to stay on phone (to keep MotoMixer from breaking) from a/mobile/audio. You should copy all these sounds to a backup folder on your pc first, and then you can play each one individually and see if you recognize the ear-hole offending sound.

Also, I hated the shutter sound when using the camera. Just backup and delete all 5 shutterx.amr files from a/mobile/system.

From what I understand if you do a "full backup" with flashbackup that will save all your files, sounds, tm, etc. Someone correct me if I'm wrong.

A full back up with flashbackup will save everything. As long as you don't try and use this program to upload this full backup back to your phone, you'll be fine. Use RSD lite instead.
I've heard that MPT (motorola Phone Tools) Has a setting to save ringtones and text messages but I haven't found it yet.
I'm new too so, grain of salt that.

When you click on "Flashbackup" the file folder, you should see a file named "Backups" The backups are there. Please don't use flashbackup to send these files back to your phone, use RSD lite.
I bricked two phones in a row trying to flash them with their backups using flashbackup 2.6.7 I have heard that flashbackup Version 3 works fine but there's something about flashbackup that makes it stop after erasing your phone and won't proceed to the loading stage past putting up the loading window and keeping it there for days on end with nothing happening.

Blond37 the backup will probably be in the backups folder within the FlashBackup program folder. That is usually the default location.
