I went ahead and dissembled the phone without a guide. This is what it looks like. I had to change the flex cable and this was the reason for taking it apart.

moto21 - can u tell after dismantling your v9, if there is a way to tighten the spring load flip, without going through a major parts removable ?

Go to 4shared and type in V9 Service manual and download it. It has the instructions to dismantling it also includes pictures. Becareful you dont want to break something.

Thomas do you have a link for 4shared i tried to google it but didn't find the site

moto21 i have some knowledge of how to take electronics apart etc (im a heavy duty mechanic) i have taken apart many electronics etc, including my ipod to change the battery. would you recommend me to try changing my inside screen and the phone housing or try to find someone that does it for a living,

Thanks for any help or suggestions.

Ps i'm changing the housing to a luxury edition, for a hell of lot cheaper then buying one :dancingbanana:

Does anyone have any information for me, it is much appreciated thank you

Service manuals are considered warez. So you must use google.

Secondly V8 and V9 housings are not the same. V9 housing is a bit thicker and has extended battery cover for microSD(HC) card.

V9 and V8 are different models. Like V3x and V3i.

Sorry to bump, but I don't understand how you got a v9m to fit ina V8 Luxury! I have a v9m form verzion, and I would also like to use a Luxury housing. Does everything fit alright?
