well i was trying to give myself more space by getting 8-10mb free memory, by using the handy help page, and i accidentally deleted the following file : TempToneDB.bd

it says to do this below
/a/mobile/audio
Delete everything except:
funlight.pat
MyToneDB.db
TempToneDB.bd
AlertFile107.bas = Spooky (to keep motomixer working)

well i accidentaly deleted the temptoone.bd. How can i get it back, is there a recycle bin that all this stuff goes to once deleted? Is the file really really necessary? please help

Its not a big deal, that file will be regenerated when you restart the phone. I actually suggest, since you deleted all the tones and stuff from the audio directory, delete the other .db file in the audio directory and then click the "All Silent" button in p2ktools.

yea those files will always come back when the phone is restarted, nothing to worry about.

hey guys thanks a lot. I havent turned my ph off yet, just had it opened with flex exitor and didnt want to close it until i was for sure. I appreciate it.

ok i just noticed, when i did all of this, it deleted my ability to go in and see sounds and ring tones that i left on my ph, also, when i go to ph book, all my names are still there and they still work i can cal lthem, but when i go to view them, it just closes out and goes to the main screen. I was able to apply one ring tone to all calls, but thru the sounds option. when i go to ring styles, nothing happens just goes right back to previous screen. HELP please!!

no sir it sure didnt. I deleted them 2 files you said, and restarted, and still all what i have stated before are still problems. :banghead:

open p2k tools click "all silent" at the top then click the "fix melody db" at the top and delete the two .db files and restart.

each and every time i do that, its like the program freezes and says not responding.

try reinstalling it, try downloading p3k tools from somewhere else.

thanks for all your quick response. I managed to get my ring tones back, now I am able to see the details of the ring tones, everything works fine, but no matter what i assign to my text msgs tone, when i recv a txt, it doesnt have sound. Also when i go to my ph book, i see all names, but when i click view, it closes out and takes me back to the main screen. I can open again, go to edit, some open to edit, some dont and just take me right back to main screen. Also my shortcuts to my soft keys, when i push them, it opens what looks like to be a small video camera, but never opens what the short cut is suppoised to be.

If all else fails, im just going to redo my ph to factory settings, then start over. This is frustrating
