I need help installing games on my v3re. I really have no idea how to go about this, I've been able to get 2KTools 3.0.8.864, as well as P2K Commander to work on my v3re. I've searched the issue on this site, and I honestly did not understand the explanations to install games on my v3re. I am hoping someone can clarify and help me through it.

You will need to use Midway to load games to your phone
There is a very informative thread here

Using Java App Loader & Midway, via USB cable
1. You need to enable the "Java App Loader" function in Java Setting. It can be enabled by editing the following seem:
SEEM 0032-0001: offset 43 - bit 0: Settings > Java Settings > Java App Loader (1 on, 0 off)
2. Get the software "Midway", which you can get from Motorola's website. Install it. (It is for PC only)
3. Now go to Java Setting in your phone and select "Java App Loader".
4. Connect your phone to your PC via USB cable.
5. Open Midway, select the jad file, then send it to your phone.
6. After file transfer is completed, it will be installed in your phone automatically.
restart your phone and enjoy

Make sure you go to "Java App Loader" under Java settings on your phone before you connect the cable otherwise the .jad jobby won't get sent across and it comes up with that error.......

also, make sure you actually have the JAR file in the same directory. dont quote me on this, but from wut i can see a JAD file is nothing more than weirdly formatted "shortcut" pointing to the directory the JAR file is in, and to the name of that particular jar file.
i personally think its a hassle, but there isnt a way around it.

Wat do you mean made by us? Sorry if that sounded rude no ill intentions were ment just b n funny. I agree:
wut i can see a JAD file is nothing more than weirdly formatted "shortcut" pointing to the directory the JAR file is in, and to the name of that particular jar file.
as much trouble as the jads have caused me in the past I was just thinkn It would b easier not having to use these wierd shortcuts as described above.
again sorry if anyone was offended!
If u mean midway try downloading and installing again maybe corrupt file download gota go pay bills(work) b back l8ter
If u mean game thats either jad file needs editing or game wont work on v3re
think your refering to game or app that wont work on v3re try diff one

Yeah, JAD files aren't the game itself. I'm guessing the poster john11money with the problem JAR file didn't have the jar file in with the JAD file. Or the JAR file had problems.
If you get "Application Error" I agree with modnmotos: probably just an app that won't work with the v3re. Try some other stuff.

I hit ctrl+g to get "go to" window... to find offset 43. should it be on decimal or hexidecimal? Then i would go to Tools and use bit manipulation right?

This is a pretty simple way of enabling java app loader and installing games.
If your not familiar with doing seem edits try this:
Open pktools
1st In pktools press 'hidden settings' tab located at top.
2nd On the right side click 'java'
3rd Press the 'get values' tab.
4th Check the box that says 'Settings>Java Settings>Java App Loader
5th Press the 'set values' tab.
Click phone pic for drop menu in upper left corner, and restart phone from here.
Otherwise it should be hexidec, tools, bit manip (yes to your quest.)
post or pm me if any other questions.
Here is a list of games that work with the V3re, as well as instructions on enabling java app loader, and even where to get games from.

Hi there. Iīm still stuck at uploading the game from the PC to the phone. Iīve tried COM3, 4, 8 & 14 and always get the same error.
Opening JAD file.............[OK]
Connecting the phone.........[TIMER EXPIRED]
Downloading canceled
Iīve downloaded the games from mobile24.com and the .JAD file included. But I donīt know if the games are suitable for the V3re
If that helps, I always get the msg "Jal Link is active" after connecting the USB cable

Could it be a driver related problem? Seeing that you also have trouble with p2k tools 3? Just wondering if its all caused by the same problem.

Well, what I did was this:
6). Run MIDway 2.8.
7). Select menu item File->Settings... and change COM Port as it was in step 11.
MIDway had COM1 and XP had COM3, switched to COM3 and uploaded it well
now, how do I delete those I donīt like???

on your key pad inbetween the two soft key at top press the middle button when in your games and apps folder from the phone and the highlight bar is on the one you want to delete. a sub menu should appear that has a delete option in it.
if no delete option then use mexplorer to go to the java folder on your phone and delete it from computer.
