Is that MP supposed to be a .shx? I downloaded it and it has no file extension. I zipped it and it didn't compress at all

Guys, I'm a total newbie but bought a Maxx V6 2 weeks ago and am very, very interested in modding it. What software is used to flash "monsterpacks"? I've got a whole bunch of apps that I've downloaded over the past couple of weeks but found that almost all of these don't yet work with the V6. In any case, I don't have a prototype Maxx so this flash file won't work for me anyway, right?

Exactly!

But generally for flashing use RSD Lite 3.3.

Woohoo flash successful!

-Here's what it fixed for me:
-My phone doesn't overheat anymore
-My phone requires a SIM to start now
-The menu's don't crash the phone anymore
-The skin is not corrupt anymore

This is the stuff it still wont do, and I suspect these are hardware related ;)
-I still can't register to a network
-External camera doesn't work, but the internal one does
-The camera flash doesn't activate
-The phone's internal user memory (/c/ partition) cannot be accessed...but the system (/a/ partition) can

All in all, it's a step closer than where I was :)

I'm gonna reflash my 2nd one and see if it works, but that one was worse off than my 1st one to start with so I doubt it...

Lightworker

No luck with that one either...I'll try when I'm at work on monday and see if its just that I'm stuck in an 850mhz lull here

On the bright side, the external lcd on the second one isn't upside down like the first one

Ok, so you're feeling pretty confident with this, then? I've got a Telstra Maxx too. What software is used to flash this? I've got quite a few apps now (inc RSD Lite 3.3)......

video camera has only 2x zoom, includes world time menu

Pioneer, I just realised something - on the Gold Coast (where I live) it looks like my Maxx needs WCDMA 850 or 2100. The factory default was WCDMA 850 and I've tried connecting on WCDMA 1900 and 2100........but only 2100 works.

Can you confirm that the flash file you posted in this thread will only support WCDMA 1900 (& not 850/2100)

EDIT: Also, I've checked the zoom settings for both photo and video and the max zoom for video is 2x and photo is 8x.......so your post re. video zoom only being 2x is as per factory default.

the one in the thread only has WCDMA 2100 and GSM 900/1800/1900
the reason why your WCDMA 1900 wont work as non carrier in aus supports it!

Ok, then you may want to edit your first post because it says that it has WCDMA 1900, not 2100
