I'm sure this topic has been beaten to death. Basically, I have a verizon v3m razr. I want to use wma's as ringtones. I can move songs from my computer to my razr, but I can't assign it as a ring tone.
My question is, what do I need to do, download, upload, configure, break, solder, re-wire on this phone so that I'm able to assign wma's as a ringtone?
Any help would be appreciated. Thanks in advance

Verizon media player only plays wmas. I don't know if it'll let you assign them as ringtones though, doesn't sound like it. What have you tried?

So far, the only things I've done is connect the phone to my computer, open folder to be viewed, drag and drop a wma into the only folder they allow me to access and it saves to my phone.
At this point I can play the song on my phone, but it won't let me assign it as a ring tone.

I usually convert it to mp3 and use motorola phone tools to shorten it to about 20-30 secs, add fade in or out, whatever. works for me!

Alright, this is what I've done so far.
I followed the guide and installed PST, P2K Commander, P2KSeemV710, MSU, and all the drivers.
Now I've read that in order for me to use MPT, I need to edit a some seems on the phone.
Before I start doing anything that voids my warranty, is there is anyway I can back up my phone so that after I make any changes, I can just zap the old stuff back on there and everything goes back to the way it was when I first bought the phone?

You can't back it up, no, but you can flash (or zap ;) ) a monster pack on it, so it's fresh stock. Just won't have your ringers and such
