iTunes on RIZR?

Does anyone know if the RIZR supports any version of iTunes? Also, would the "South Park" Skin in the download section work with this phone. It seems to have the 12 icon menu set where my RIZR currently only has 9. I would like that skin but don't want to risk messing up the new toy over a skin. I love this phone just the way it is, but am getting the itch to tinker. I have been able to flash the fix for the clock and a few other things using RSD Lite 3.1 but am scared to go too far. I don't seem to be able to get a back-up using FlashandBackup 3. although I am probably doing something wrong.

I have used RSD Lite 3.3 on my RIZR without any problems. I too have updated the clock, web session and MMS without any issues. My phone seems to be very stable and I like it alot.

How do you go about updating the web sessions? I have downloaded the Cingular Web Sesseion from this site, but I don't know how to get it on the phone. I don't know if you use Cingular or not stanlyonjr, but it would have to be the same procedure.

To get iTunes working, you'll have to hack the java permissions, not sure how that is done... here's how you backup your RIZR:

Hey nevardeath - I have never used FB3 before, but I followed the guide/instructions with no luck. I downloaded/extracted the pofile files and copied them into the proper folders. Then opened FB3 and selected Z3 as Active Profile, selected SHX for file format, did Select All for the CG stuff, and then hit read data. The box says its switching phone to flash mode then nothing appears to happen, then it says operation ended. I then go to look for the backup and it has created a backup folder but there is nothing in it! I am still on "Trial Version" could this be the problem or am I missing something? Thanks.

yeah another person had the same problem. The instructions don't mention the .ldr file, you need to move that to the the "Loaders" Folder in C:\Program Files\Random' Developments sorry I forgot to mention that

Hey guys any news on the improvement of getting itunes on the RIZR? I installed the vassio version but when it's time to run it, it says application error. But mototunes does recogise it.

That program hasn't been updated in a while, if you can't get it working with the trial version, it's not gonna work if you pay for it either..., also people are having problems getting their reg codes for it. Just ask E-Dragon lol. Have you tried MotoKup? it's free. You have to put your phone in bootloader mode to get the program to see your phone, but once you do, it's gravy

I have Cingular and you have to go into the phone and erase all the other 3 MMS sessions. There is a thread I explain how to do it.

Is there anyone with any luck on activating the IM and AIM in the RIZR? Please guys I need to do this. I see it in my seetings but cant use it. It is annoying that Motorola would do this all the time. Please someone help

Put the phone in boot loader mode first it will back up the S/W
phone off, press and hold the * and the #, press and hold the power key.

no. there is no perfect installer of Corelets yet. MotoMidMan can't do that. even installing midlets using MotoMidMan makes the java apps corrupt. the best way to install java apps is by uploading jar files in c/mobile/kjava but it only install Midlets and it works well. it cannot install Corelets. that's the bad part.

uh it removes RSA protection, meaning iTunes and some other stuff can be installed...i think...

Correct. It removes security that doesn't allow other apps.

Even though FB3 has a z3 profile, you cannot remove RSA yet. I've tried and also contacted Random.....bottom line not yet.
