KRZR K1M Switching from AllTel/Telus Monster to Metro PCS Firmware??

I have a KRZR K1M that works on Metro PCS but only for making and recieving calls and sending and receiving texts. I cannot even save contact numbers to the phone or send or receive pictures or emails. I think it is because I need to replace the AllTel/Telus the Metro PCS Firmware. Is this available oe even possible? Any advice would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance.

Thanks SuperBleeder, I looked at your links and didn't see anything for K1M Metro PCS Firmware...should I assume that it is just not available?
