bad file cannot delete

hey experts. I have a bad/corrupted file in my message folder (a/mobile/msgdb/). The file has a file name that contains non-ASCII characters and so most of the file tools cannot even read this folder and the ones that can, cannot delete the file (or even the folder). Any advice on how I can FORCIBLY delete this file?!

btw - P2K commander is one of the few utilities that will not crash when I open this folder. However, if I try to delete the file using P2K commander, I get a GENERIC FAILURE error.

have you tried p2k tools (http://www.modmymoto.com/forums/downloads.php?do=file&id=3400)? "msgdb" looks like message database to me though. so you might want to wait for some opinions on this. although i have to say i've never heard of anything by that name before.

Back up your phone as always just in case and try to delete the msgdb file alltogether. It should be recreated after restart of the phone without the faulty subfile.
