Other people have done it just fine with a MetoPCS L7c....For some reason, it seems these last few weeks that people with L7c's are having problems connecting, if you could tell me your s/w version that would be great. My current theory is that it's a certain firmware that's having the problems. Until then, try these drivers:
http://www.futuredial.com/support/download/Motorola_prolificdrivers.zip
or if those don't work use these

Thanks to wamphry for that tip!
Also make sure you run the uninstall program first!
I am connected to MPT with USCC L7c, s/w Version is 24.0_00.26.0F. I can't use MMedia in MPT. I tried connecting as a different phone, L7c Sprint and some others. None work.

The easiest way to copy music, is to just stick your Trsnflash card in a card reader and copy it over that way...
I can also connect the phone as a USB drive for music and such. Does anyone know of any features USCC has disabled with the phone?

That is the easiest way to do it, plus you can view more folders on it that way than in MPT. USCC doesn't disable stuff on their phones, they're cool like that :)

Still won't work... Any other's I could try?
I got the USB cable that connects everything but it does nothing, and I dont have any software cd or anything.
All the thing does is start charging my phone but it doesnt pop up a new drive on my computer, and also doesn't read from Itunes or WMP.
Any thoughts on why It's charging my phone from my computer, and not letting me connect so I can upload new mp3's into my phone?
Try this.

Yeah also the USCC L7c will connect to bitPIM if you just select "Other CDMA phone" and "Motorola USB modem" for the driver...thanks apristel for that one!
Still don't work for me. I have the latest Bitpim.

For all you people with connection problems, download from motorola the Motorola Software Update ( MSU ) software. Run it, and let it connect to your phone, it will install all the drivers. Don't actually update your software with it, just let it make the connection.
For MPT, US Cellular DID block the multimedia in MPT, to bypass it, just go into the settings in MPT and tell it that your phone is a GSM L7 rather than CDMA, and wala you get the Multimedia Icon in MPT.
For Bitpim to work you need the drivers installed properly, as a Motorola USB Modem (in the settings, browse for the com port and select the Motorola USB Modem, and select Other CDMA phone for the phone model) this all will be installed correctly after installing the MSU software.
Good Luck.

Here is a link to MSU https://rsd.motorola.com/download/Motorola_Software_Update.exe Make sure this is running in the background when you connect to bitpim . Also when switching between MPT and Bitpim you may have to restart your phone and/or computer to get your phone recognized.

You do not need to have MSU running while using Bitpim.
I have MSU and it connects to the phone. But I did not have it running with Bitpim.
Thanks

Try going to the filesystem in bitpim and then click the + by the little folder, it takes a bit for it to connect, you can watch the progress in the log.

Thanks for the correction. It was late and I got my software mixed up.
Still nothing. I am going to start fooling with drivers again. and see what I can find.

I was having the same problem a few weeks ago, but I kept messing around and I eventually figured it out (my problem at least).
try that, see if it helps you. If not then just send some replies of where you get stuck and I will try to root them out for you.
If your motorola phone tools is not working, make sure you have rebooted your computer.
Do it like this, make sure you have cleaned your system of all Motorola drivers, and un-install Motorola phone tools.(no motorola phone software installed at all to be safe)
Then install motorola phone tools, don't try to connect your phone.
Restart your computer
then when it comes back up, run motorola phone tools
Connect phone when told to do so. You will probably have to choose your own phone model (I had to do that)
You will not see your phone model in CDMA, so I went to GSM and selected just a regular L7 (mine is L7c) then I continued with the install.
When it is finished try to see if it will connect to your phone, If it doesn't connect to your phone restart your computer again.
Then try again.
Usually if there is something that involves installing drivers, and it doesn't work after you install them, you probably have to reboot the system.
Once you do get connected to MPT and it works, close out MPT (and unplug/replug your phone to be safe). Then run P2k Commander. Tell it to read your phone. It will ask for the right drivers, point it do the drivers you downloaded. And it should work, might have to reboot your system.
Hope that helps you.
