Wanting Guide to...

I'm wanting a Mac walkthrough (using the three most popular Mac tools for modding, Moto4Lin, 0xED, and of course Terminal) for a few things that I've seen guides for in the PC side of things, but I'm still (admittedly) too new to this to go fussing around on my own trying to do these things.

1) I want to edit the carrier (Rogers) actual visible WORD from the inside screen. I've seen this done, but no guide for mac.
2) Changing the memory allotment for Text Messages. I hate only being able to get something like 100 before I have to dump some. I've got like 4mb available memory after all my skins and such, I'd like to be able to use that for something. :P Is this even possible? I haven't seen it, but thought why not? :)
