need help with backup

I have a monster pack on my phone but am wanting to set phone back to factory and i have a new computer now since i did the monster pack flash a year ago so i am rusty at this.i actualy have two questions,First when i try to do a backup in randoms flash and backup like is says i get an error-Format(S-Records File)is not work with active phone profile.I have genaric profile set like it says?What am i doing wrong or is there something i need to do first? Also where would you find a factory flash for a v3?

Use the "Motorola V3" profile. If it doesn't show up, maybe you have an older version...
Try to get v3.0.4

Flash it, and the phone will go back to stock. You'll have to upload the corresponding Websession for the GPRS and MMS to work.

it does have v3 listed but i was going from what the forum thread said to do.so if i use the v3 then what boxes do i check under name,cause there is no backup listed there under v3?I am sure on my old computer i did exactly what the thread said but now it gets that error.there must be a step i am missing?

I hate to sound stupid but i am rather new at this.So i download this stock mp file and install it with RSD lite?Is that right? And what is the websession for gprs and mms mean? I dont know what that is.

Your sms function is set on your sim card, but if you want to surf the net or send mms you need the mms settings of your provider and the wap session settings. Your provider either can send them to you via smart sms, have a look on his homepage or you can add them with p2k Tools3 for example. In our downloadsection there are a lot of websessions stored, have a look, maybe you find what you need there. After uploading them to your phone, set them as default.

Yup, lol. I never bother to load mine because I don'r send pictures via MMS or use the net with the phone. I don't like my provider payplan for those services plus the provider sends me forever adverts and spam on those things, :)
