My biggest dislike about the L7 if the mic location, it's on the front but it's over by the 6 and 9 buttons. It's great if you wanna use your phone with your left hand/left ear, however if you wanna use your right hand/right ear then the mic tends to get rubs up against the side of your face. Most people don't really like that too much and neither do I! Horrible design!!

hmmm never thought about that but I hear where your coming from, I never realized that, nice...anybody else?

I don't like how the camera doesn't have some sort of cover. Then again, 0.3MP ... not much to protect. Menus seem a tiny bit slow too. But I still love the phone

the vga camera doesn't bug me much....

what i don't like is the fact that we, i mean our phones, can't read a resolution higher than that of 640x480.

aside from this resolution thing... it's one hell of a phone. it's got the looks, we mod the software, metal casing.... i love it

The keypad buttons are a bit small for me. I have to use my fingernail. After coming from a RAZR with slightly bigger keypad, this is what I noticed first. I'd also like at least a 1.3 Megapixel camera too. Other than that it's pretty nice.

Oh and another one I thought of....the center keys of the keypad are shifted down so they aren't lined up with the other keys. It can create a bit of havoc when text messaging or if you try to dial a number - especially when you might try to dial a number or text without looking at the keypad.

My biggest gripe about the phone is about hte design. I wish they would have included a regular earphone port, because using the freaking ear phones that came with it suck. I mean I spent $30 on a set of Sony ear plugs and can't use em with out that adapter.
Other than that, I love the clarity, brilliant display...
If someone could post a tutorial about adding LONG videos as in full movies, like the iPod... I would appreciate it. Thanks all.

I don't like that the phone is a sensitive little b!t@h if dropped. So now it sometimes restarts on it own when I am talking on the phone. That’s a real big pain. And I also don’t like that it has a low resolution camera. But at least it does take some good pix in well lit areas. Other than that, the phone great.

i dont like the gprs connection i would prefer edge
small resolution of camera is a little problem too

oh and xnny3x that vodafone live button is realy anoying it is on the background in bottom right corner
if i change skin tha is not from vodafone there is just blank space

and b00bytr@p you could convert movies with WinAVI MP4 Converter
thet is what i use

otherwise is a nice looking device and it is very useful if you know how thin is it
the keypad isn t a problem too beacuse after a while you get used to

the mqin thing which i dont like in L7 is it does not have FM radio andit also does not have autolock system thats it

magnadyne
10-12-2006, 01:17 PM
- No auto key lock
- I would like it there was a clock when the screen went dim.
- I wish the lights would stay on during a call, or at least the end button. At night when I go to hang up, I can't find the end call button.
- Ditto on the mic placement
- I also liked the repeating alarm function of my Ericson. You could setup what days you wanted your alarm to go off. I used it as my alarm for work, and I never had to worry about setting it. The L7 alarm is close, but it goes off every day.
- Also wish you could still use your phone when the media player is running. Surf web, text message, etc.

All together I LOVE the phone though. Especially after I found how much you can mod it!

I have seen this, and I don't want it on all the time, just during a call. I was under the impression that it turned it on all the time. This would kill the battery life.

If it doesn't work like that, let me know.

There is a SEEM edit for that. I have a clock when my screen goes dim. I can only see it in the sun or other really bright lighting conditions. It shows your signal strength, battery power, and the time.

A2DP would be nice. The mic location sucks. My directional pad's coating is fading - going from shiny to dull. The inability to use a 2GB MicroSD card sucls, too.

Look up the headphones. they've got a mic in them so you can talk, but i got them because i thought i could stream music via bluetooth from the phone. Basically im more disappointed in the phone then the headphones. I don't ride the bus, i can go to the gym with these things on, i don't have any practical time to wear them!

schmegs

...is that you can't use a bluetooth headset while there are headphones (or the headphone adapter) plugged into the phone. If I'm listening to music with a cassette adapter plugged into the headphone port & I get a call, I have to unplug the adapter to answer, and then I have to hope I get stuck at a light or something to go through the whole process of plugging the adapter back in & restarting iTunes... sure would be nice if I could just answer with bluetooth...

I don't like the phonebook on the Slvr. I mean other phones let you set different numbers like home, mobile, and work under one name, but doesnt work like that on the Slvr.

Megaman7

Ya you can do that. Put in the contact information, then when ur done there's a ...MORE... menu option you can click on, and just keep filling in phone number information, try it out.

I know what you mean regarding the phonebook however there is a slight work around for that problem. You can enter all the numbers for your contacts and tag them as Home, Mobile, Work....or whatever. Press the Menu button (the top middle button) and then go into Setup and then you can change the View to Primary Contacts. That will show your contacts under one name and the primary number you set up for them. But then you can hit the left or right buttons to scroll through the other numbers. Hopefully that was kind of clear and made a little sense.
