If any of you have had problems getting Opera Mini or Google maps to work on your V3, I managed to wrestle with my websessions and get it all to work flawlessly. It took me awhile, but it is nice and smooth. My original websession settings wouldnt allow either to work

If anyone needs the websession file, Id be hapy to post it... you will need it if you flash a new MP and forget to back-up your phone...

Just want to let you know that t-mobile had some network problem with MMS today. My MMS used to fork fine until today and after i tried to fix that i decide to call customer services. They told me that t-mobile have some problem with network in several states. Tonight everything work fine again... so if anyone had problem with MMS today, maybe is because of this.

Its been working fine for me... before I put it on, I couldnt use opera mini or Gmail java app. Both just fly now.

Well, if you try to get on with your V3...it will ask you to sign up for the 5.99. Do so, THEN change your websession. I love mine now...its actually useful.

One interesting thing, if you dont have any data at all, this may niot work for your phone, but tethering works regardless.

Is there still no way to get free web on T-Mob? I used to run my own WAP server and just connect to that when I was on Verizon. But it's my understanding that T-Mob makes this impossible?
However, if I go to T-Zones, it works. Maybe I don't understand how this works? I thought you just paid T-Mob the $5.99 and you had unlimited web access? This is not correct? So what is this webaccess file? I'm not quite clear on why it's needed. I've never paid for web access because I wouldn't really use it much, unless it's free.

I just installed Opera Mini and it connects and surfs no problem. I am not paying for web access. Will I be charged, or am I somehow getting free web access?

I called them and asked. I couldn't really get a straight answer, but it sounds like you will be charged $3.99/10MB of data transfer. Don't be surprised if you find some extra charges on your next bill.

I was using opera with this websession for couple months i never got charged for that (i did not ask them about or let them know that i'm using that).

Websession are setting's for text messaging, MMS, and internet services. What they do? Imagine your computer without network configuration... not a way to go online. Same thing with this, with no websession you can place place calls but not receiving messages or use internet services. Also all phone have websessions already included but this one is let say "moddifed"

Well, I have full internet access. What's modified about it? I'm wondering if I need it at all, since it already seems to have everything in web sessions. I guess I'll copy my websession file and try that one and see what's different, if anything. I may already have a modified file. Did any MP's come with that?

I think that both apristel pack did, but what modded inside of websession is that configuration is edited (some MP comes with empty or no websessions) and result of that is working services. No need for you to replace that if your internet services works.

Yeah, I just tried it, and all I saw was that one session was named Google, but only connects to T-Zones anyway, and there were two MMS's. I put my original file back, since it has all that, plus a few other sessions I created. So, you never got charged for using Opera Mini? I'd use it, if I knew for sure. I guess I'll wait until the next bill and see what shows up. The only other MP I'd flashed before was the MotoX 42.10R.

Ok, looking at this now, I have "Picture Messaging" and "MMS Session" in this WebSession file, in addition to T-Zones. The only one that works is T-Zones, though. I don't suppose MMS and Picture Messaging are configured properly, but I don't use them anyway.

As far as I know tmobile does not charge per bytes or whatever

or else my bill would have been sky high

nothing shows up on my bill and I have no web plans only texting is the extra plan

Like i said i never got any charge for this. Also no one say that t-mobile do charge, i' am just saying that people can use that little for first months 'till they got sure they wont be charged for this. I didn't, but i don't guaranty anyone they won't be 'cuz everything is possible. Everyone should be using those stuff at their own risk.

Actually, that didn't work. All it did was add a second locked Picture Messaging session that also doesn't work and MMS was still all zero's. Can someone just post the settings they have for T-Mob for MMS and Picture Messaging? I'd rather not have any locked sessions in my phone. As of now, with the WebSession file I have, I can edit any of them.

Interestingly enough, some settings are different, but both work the same.

This is what's in the file you have here:

Name: Google
Homepage: http://wap.myvoicestream.com
Service Type: HTTP
Gateway IP: 216.155.165.50
Port 1: 8080
Service Type 2: Same data as above
GPRS APN: wap.voicestream.com

And this is what I have in mine:

Name: T-Zones
Homepage: http://wap.t-zones.com
Service Type: WAP
Gateway IP: 216.155.165.50
Port 1: 9201
Service Type 2: Same as above
GPRS APN: wap.voicestream.com

(Same IP, but different ports and service types. All fields not included here were blank or zeros. Both homepages just go to T-Zones if you launch directly.)

So, since you guys say you're not charged for web sessions, I added another session and used the HTTP setup as default instead. Maybe that's the difference?

[edit] It turns out my settings for Picture Messaging work fine. I just sent a pic to myself, so all is functional except maybe MMS. You say that's only for IM? And that requires text service, right?

Wait! It looks like MMS and Picture Messaging is actually the same thing? They have the same addresses and stuff. I think I just ended up with multiple sessions with different names, somehow.

dang I think I ran into a problem

when I try going to a webpage it says "an error has occured" and then it returns back to the processing screen and then says there is a problem with your connection

but when I go to the introduction screen and test my connection within seconds it says I have a working connection

is this the part where I need that $5.99 plan?l lol

Go into the Web Sessions menu and make sure the default session has the data I posted above. Either one of those will work.

Well, would you mind sharing your web sessions settings then? Because it stopped working and I didn't change a thing. It was working fine before. It's not just me. I read that others noticed their Opera Mini has stopped working too.
