Hello all,
I just got my my faves enabled Razr today and truied putting all my backed up music ringers on it ionly to find i have run out of space(memory). I tried deleting the stock moto tunes that i never if ever use and it will not delete them is there a way to mod /edit my files to delete those files from the phone to free up space? I do not want to flash a new MP as i'd like to keep this one as stock as possible for a while anyhow. any suggestions??? also not sure if this is the right forum or not as i can't figure out which version it really is. Sorry if i have missed finding the answer here but i am a newbie to modding and the forum

Thats the new MyFav Razr's. Kinda like a V3r, but different. Still not sure all the things that can and can't be done to it. Need one. :D

Use probably can use p2ktools to do that. It is in the software section fo the downloads! :)

The my faves v3 is actually a V3r, my girlfriend called their tech support and they told her that they only have v3r's her software and flex is nearly identical to yours, it's

the only thing that's different is the flex. If you check the bluetooth name for your phone it'll probably be 'Motorola v3r'.

Apristel and Poeticfolly, I tried backing it up already using flashbackup2.62 and got criticall error 84 i downloaded 3 from the downloads section and it instralled but will not open on my computer. I alreadyt deleted most of the stock tunes on it by using the p2k program and opening the c directory n founds the files there n got rid of them. I'll be searching for a updated flash to flash t5his puppy with if there are any out there yet:).

You need a v3r to make a myfaves phone. You cannot do it with a regular V3.

little interesting info i just got my pebl back from a friend (his phone got trashed let him borrow it)
anyways looked at the info on the pebl and it's very much like this v3r

PoeticFolly ok the p2k commander works poradically for deleting or copying files to the phone i could not use rsd lite to flash the phone got critical error 80 and 40 no version of flashbackup seems to work and the newest won't even open on my system after the instal:( so not alot IS working LOL phone tools work ok but they do noit do what i want:) I am going to check out the forums at motoX as well and see if anyone has had any luck with this thing and how they did it. I'll let everone know what i get working and done:)

On my girlfriends pink myfaves V3r I installed PST and all the drivers with no problem. I could browse the phone just fine with p2kcommander. I backed up the cl.gif, custwakeup.gif, and custgoodbye.gif then replaced them with new ones, no problem. The thing is that in the audio directory, there's just a bunch of weird files, i think the extension was .v3a or something. no .mp3 or .mid I looked in every directory and could not find any of the wallpapers or ringtones. I also couldn't find where the skins were located, it was quite strange. It was so easy my my v3c :( On the phone it says the total free space is only 4.1MB it was very frustrating. So I guess the next time I visit I will try MPT on it.

I'm such a n00b I didn't know there was a C directory on it. the v3c doesn't have one, but yeah I see how to get to it in the options menu. Thanks!

ok i got rsd lite 3,2 downloaded and installed but it doesn't even recognize my phone:( i was using rsd lite 2.5 but it errored out so i thought ... upgrade to newer version. no joy new version is not working at all any suggestions as to a shx file flasher i can use with the my faves enable v3r?

Ok i have searched high and low for p2k easytools 3.9 and some other but do not seem to have any luck in finding them. I have tried ultiple versions of rsd lite to no sucess and am thinking i am just going to have to learn to accept the low memory and stock stuff till it is an older model and everyone has hacked/modded it a zillion times. I guess i'm about ready to give up on it. i was able to delete some stuff from the c directory but it did not free up any memory on the phone that i could tell and now in my menu for ringtones i have a lot of blank entries that i have to scroll thru to get to the few mp3's i was able to upload. I'd be happy if i could just flash to original stock flash/flex to it to get it back to the way it was when i got it then go from there. anyone have any suggestions? if it helps i am using windows XP pro sp2 for my OS

Ok i fount pst 7.3 i think and installed it but when i try to flash a shx of the original my faves stuff I downloaded from another forum it gives me the following... error verifying subscriber unit info: chipset type does not match. any suggestions i have a US tmobile my faves

update, well i found a link to a good mp by pokey:bowdown: at motox forum that included the easy tools in the rar file and used that to flash my phone and all is back to stock moto with myfaves just like when i first got the phone:biggerGrin: so now that i know i can unbrick my phone and restore it if necessarry i'll try some mods n see how things go :biggthumpup: wish me luck

My son has a pebl I would love to get the m favs setup on his. I hope someone figures out how this can be done. Maybe pull out just the myfavs peices...?? :)

I have looked at the pebl section and searched other sites. No myfav talk there. I just thought maybe someone has figured out how to pull off the myfav stuff only. But I guess ill post there and see if anyone knows.
