Ok, I have found lots of references to monsterpacks and few explanations. I understand that they replace the 'OS' so to speak on your phone, but I just don't see the point. What are the advantages/disadvantages to doing this? Also does anyone know where I can find descriptions of the V3c monsterpacks that are available for download on this site?

Monster packs contain both the flash and flex ... changing the flex can do anything from removing the branding to opening up hidden menus....

The flash portion is the nuts and bolts of the phones operation ...

Bottom line is that newer versions may offer improvements in operation, quality, performance ... but make sure you read the feedback before applying as some MP's may not contain the features you want....

At this point, there are no custom "monster packs", only flashes of the default firmware from Alltel and Verizon. At least none I've heard about. Somebody PLEASE correct me on this.
