manual PRL updates

well since im flashing to alltel how do i get the PRL updates? i know other people with verizon and razr's so is there some kind of transfer of files involved?

You could do that, yes, or you can skip 'em.

They aren't extremely necessary, no, unless you are noticing bad reception in your area. All they do is update your phones knowledge of which towers it allowed to connect to. prl=preferred roaming list.
