This firmware should work fine. I believe it's the same firmware that I have, and we both have the same hardware version of the phone (See my post here: http://www.modmymoto.com/forums/show...7&postcount=26)


Now, how to flash? Well, that's a good question. Since RSD Lite seems to work with the CLIQ, you could go that route.

You'll need to install the drivers. Take a look at this link:

You will need to download RSD Lite 4.5.7 or newer. RSD Lite is considered warez, so I cannot post links, but google.com can be your friend on that one.

Flashing is very simple. Here's a guide that was written for the L7 on a very old version of RSD Lite, but everything is pretty much the same:

However, it will take much longer to flash than is shown in the demo, just as a warning. I don't foresee any trouble doing it this way (since Motorola themselves flash firmware with RSD Lite,) but I have not yet flashed a CLIQ to say for sure.

I believe there is also another method where you copy the files onto your SD card and enter the phone's bootloader mode. I have not heard of it tested on the CLIQ yet, but it's been used extensively on the G1.

My final thought, though, would be to see if we can back up your firmware before you flash another. For one thing, it's safer (in case you need to flash the original firmware back,) but for another, that would really help with future CLIQ developments.

In summary, that firmware I linked should work, and flashing with RSD Lite should be fine. But maybe we could find a way to backup your firmware first...
