Moto Android in flip phone style?

False,only the razr v3x was up to par or superior than other brand phones in terms of specs in the year 2005 from moto. V3xx,k3,v6,v9 and other newer synergy phones were worse than theirs rivals in their time. That's a fact.

Still partially disagree - V9 still was considered high-end when it came out (Q3 2007 US, Q1 2008 Europe).

Even though iPhone and such phones were already released, it didn't push the V9 out of the high-end line.

I dont think the V9 was high end at all. It was essentially the V6 Maxx in a different shell with a bigger front screen. And the V6 was released when? 2007? (?)

There were no other real enhancements, it was still 2MP camera, still 3.6 HSDPA, still the same quality video recording, it lost the camera light.

I would consider the V9 to be the same generation as the V6, which is still quite similar the the V3x.

I agree with Semsedden that the V3x was very high spec on release but Moto failed to keep subsequent devices the V6 and V9 high end because rivals were simpily packing more into their phones such as better cameras, faster HSDPA, picture and video editing, TrackID etc etc.

I'm still waiting for the next real high spec flip phone from Moto. I simpily dont consider the V6 to V9 a proper upgrade considering the cost of the V9 compared to other phones from rivals.

Please Moto! Lets get a high spec flip phone!!

It was q1 2008 when v9 was released and it couldnt even play videos higher than 176x144,rename mp3 files,view jpegs bigger than 2mp and lacked more very basic specs. Not a highspec phone according to me. Anyway,synergy never been used on a hightech device in its own time except Razr V3X. Magx, they unfortunately couldnt integrate hspda capability on magx os which i believe was the main reason why it cancelled. Back on topic,moto will release a droid flip moto imo.

Actually there is 3G MAGX phone for AT&T (VA76r)
Hopefully the integration of Andriod will be very similar to integration of MAGX (so modding it will be similar).

Anyway it would be cool for the V13 to be on Android and a GSM version to be released ...

android is all about touch, and multimedia + social convergence. a flip is too serious. stylish, but serious. with data speeds increasing every user wants vids n movies on big screens. i personally wont waste BW and entertainment on a 2''/2.5'' screen! a flip cant provide that kind of screen-estate. the hinge limits the size of the screen. putting 2 makes it worse, IMO. plus the text-entry aspect also has to be looked into. (does any android have touch-screen t9 tap entry?) with all entry being touch, a keypad is redundant. so the workaround is putting a full qwerty KB, which brings us to the seed question, can android be flip? IMO, no. the logic suggest no, but my heart says YESS!! i wud love to see an android flip.
