Warning - funlights on R3442A V3re

I attempted to activate funlights on my V3re last night, with some disappointing results.

All SEEM edits worked great. Menu options were made available to select or turn off RING, ALERT, and RHYTHM lights.

First, I copied the funlight.pat file from the downloads area for a standard V3 phone. This didn't work well at all... phone display would blank out for no reason, and the phone would RESET when an incoming call arrived!

Second, I copied the funlight.pat file from the downloads area for the V3r phone. This worked a little better (display wouldn't blank), but the phone would RESET when an incoming call arrived.

I narrowed the problem down to the RING and RHYTHM lights. When either of those two are turned on - that's when the phone wouldn't accept incoming calls.

The ALERT light works just fine.

Can anyone share a funlight.pat file that is working correctly on their V3re phone?

try using the funlight editor program and make your own rythems that should work you are puttign the funlight.pat into the c folder right

OK - I'll give the editor a shot. I believe it's the right folder - stock file was overwritten in /a/mobile/audio

maybe I should have just kept the stock file? hmmm....

BUMMER!!

I can't get any app to view files on my V3re except M-Explorer. That app only shows me subdirectories on drive a:

(Files in root of a are not shown)

This is getting frustrating. Anybody discovered a way to manage files on the V3re?

Try P2K_Commander_4.9.E to view files on the V3re

we don't have it yet in the DL section as far as I have seen so you will have to find it.... google.

OK - I downloaded P2K_Commander_4.9.E, but only files I can see are on folder /a/

I haven't figured out how to see other files on this phone. Any help would be appreciated.

this phone must not be like v3r with sepaate drives maybe try some of the v3 seems instead of v3r

If all you see is a/ directory then im assuming thats all there is...couldnt see why the program would show one and not the other.

V3 seems and V3R seems are all pretty much one and the same. Im pretty sure we are still using the V3 seem map for V3R, and i would assume that the seems are the same for this new version.

Yes, I can confirm that the "generic" V3 seems have been working well on my phone.

Single drive letter (a) only. would like to find a funlight.pat that works on this phone - copied to /a/mobile/audio

I was wondering, how would I go about getting a stock funlight.pat file for my v3re, I have overwritten mine with the v3 file. I have my seems backed up to an .shx file. I would like to experiment with the funlight editor program mentioned above. Thanks

lol well did u backup your phone if so use the mp extracting method and extract it and upload it to your phone
