I read the guide, and got very excited about the prospects of extracting the files contained in my last backup.

Shxcodec worked great, but I can't get the Flexparser to do anything. After selecting the *CG2.smg file, it just sits there. No disk activity, no folders created. Bummer.

Is there anything I'm missing here? This procedure is done without the phone connected, right?

Yeah without the phone connected, Flexparser took a while to do anything on my pc too, just keep trying i suppose, I would test myself, but due to being on a crappy OS which doesnt support it i can't

I haven't had any luck with this technique.... seems logical though. We need a way to parse the v3re backups/MPs into individual files.

It's difficult for me to know if things are not working because of my ineptitude - or is it the new phone?

No luck here either, I tried 4 different backups and parser just sits idle. Thanks for the suggestion though, i had my hopes up to but we'll get into it soon.

I tried this process with at R4515 monster pak (V3r) on my PC, and it worked flawlessly.

There must be something different about the V3re file structure that Flexparser cannot handle. Anybody know who the software author is? Not much listed under Help > About for Flexparser.

anyway im able to see sveral files with p2k commander(4.9). quite a few are unknown, but there is thiess 2 that are an enigma
subsidy_lock_password_
subsidy_lock_csm_hlr_table
anyone know anything?

for your subsidy code. all scrambled up though. useless for finding out your phone's subsidy code.
