OK, so here's the situation:
I have a Razr V3, S/W version R3442A_G_0E.43.08R. It's the plain vanilla, matte black Razr that came with my ATT corporate plan.
My computer is a Dell Latitude running Windows XP Professional, Ver 5.1, Service Pack 2.
(The computer identifies the phone as a V3re when I plug it into the USB, incidentally.)
I have followed all of the instructions (including apristel's excellent
guide) for connecting my phone, loading the software, etc. and both my computer and the P2K Tools software recognize my phone as connected.
But I can't get the P2K software to read the files. I thought maybe the problem was the P2K software, so I tried to do this with P2KMan also, but it won't work either. P2KMan gives me the following error message:
Receiving file list...USB: IO Time-out!
CMD: Data write fail!
Fail!
All this is while the software recognizes that the phone is connected.
I uninstalled and reinstalled the drivers several times, with no luck.
Anyone have any ideas? I want to delete all those stupid locked image files off the phone so I can have room to store my own groovy stuff.
I'm frustrated

and baffled.
Many thanks / vielen dank / muchas gracias / tusind tak / merci beaucoup,
d.s.
OK, so after more struggling...
And upgrading to P2K Commander 4.9e...
I got it working. For some reason the earlier versions of P2K Commander, et al, weren't "seeing" my V3re.
Now to see about those skins...
