Testpoint Unlocking

These are my memories of what i done two days ago when i hard locked my L6 using locked firmware. I will not lock and unlock my handset again just to verify if each step is correct because of the complexity of the procedure and the increased risk of mechanical damage. So, USE THIS INFORMATION AT YOUR RISK. Although, i hope this will be useful to you and save time.
Well, first you have to disassemble it. Follow the "Taking it Apart" guide. The thing you need is the transceiver PC board. Look at this picture:
I will name the picture at left - the main picture and the picture at right - the magnified picture. Look the left side of the main picture. There are two metal shields. Now look at the right side. The two large chips and our test point are located under just the same type of shield. Seems like you have to desolder it (that is very tricky job). But you might get lucky. The new versions of L6 have second testpoint and it is outside the shield. Look at the magnified picture. See the 3 gold points. The left of these is also testpoint in new versions. See the instuctions on the picture. Just a note to save your time- do not use SmartMoto! You will not get result. Use P2k Easy Tool v3.9. Get it here: :SJ edit: No warez links please. :SJ edit:
Open the software. Select your model: L6. Go to locks tab. Mark the unlock sp tick. Now follow the instructions on the picture. The software will warn you when to disconnect testpoint. (Hint: every shield on the transceiver PC board has ground voltage.). Now hit "Do selected jobs" and after a while you should have unlocked phone. Hope it was useful
