19. Select "Bit manipulation" from the drop down menu. This should open the "Bit Manipulation" window.

20. You should see a row of  boxes with checks already in some bits. We're focusing on bit 3. If bit 3 is unchecked like mine, then you can just click "Set" or "Cancel" and move on. If bit 3 is checked, then simply uncheck it by clicking your cursor on the box. Now click the "Set" button.

21. Now we want to check another offset, so press "ctrl" and "g" again to get our "Go to address" window open.

22. Highlight the offset once again. Type in 31 and click "OK."

23. Now that we're in offset 31, we need to check Bit 0 by going to "Tools" and "Bit Manipulation" again.

24. If Bit 0 is unchecked, move on by clicking "Cancel" or "Set". If it is checked, then simply uncheck it by clicking your cursor on the box next to 0, and then clicking the "Set" button.

25. Now we've finished deactivating the stock Moto startup and shutdown animations. We're back at the 0032_0001 window, so we need to save this SEEM by selecting "File" on the menu bar and then "Save" from the drop down menu.

26. In the "Save file as" window, select 0032_0001 and click "Save."

27. Now let's activate Custom startup animations by opening SEEM 004a_0001. Select "File" from the menu bar and  then "Open" from the drop down menu, to get the "Open file" window.

28. Select SEEM 004a_0001 and click "Open."

29. Now we're in SEEM 004a_0001.

30. Go to offset 23 by typing in "ctrl" + "g" again to get the "Go to address" window.

31. Highlight the numbers again in the box next to the drop down arrow, type in 23, and then click "OK."

32. This is where it gets tricky. There is no bit manipulation in SEEM 004a_0001, so people usually get lost here. It is really much simpler than it seems because all you do is type in the value to change the setting. SEEM 004a_0001 should look like this:

33. There are three boxes highlighted on the screen: 22 on the left, 00 in the center, and the 0 on the right. You can't change the 22 on the left, or the 0 on the right. The only thing you can change is the value of the highlighted box in the center. Type in 01 and XV132 will automatically change the value to 01 and move right to the next offset.

34. While we're in SEEM 004a_0001, let's activate the custom startup and shutdown sounds by pressing "ctrl" + "g" again.

35. Once again highlight the numbers in the box next to the drop down arrow, type in 22, and click "OK."

36. Now you're at offset 22 of SEEM 004a_0001.

37. Remember how we changed the value of offset 23 and do the same thing here.

38. Activate custom shutdowns by pressing "ctrl" + "g" once again.

39. Highlight the numbers in the box again, type in 24 and click "OK."

40. You should be at offset 24.

41. Once again you should just change the value of the offset by typing in 01 just like you did in steps 33 and 37.

42. You've finished editing SEEM 004a_0001, so save it by clicking "File" from the menu bar and "Save" from the drop down menu.

43. Now we need to go back into SEEM 0032_0001 to activate the custom shutdown animation and custom startup sound. Select "File" from the menu bar, "Open" from the drop down menu, and get our "Open file" window.

44. Select 0032_0001 and click "Open."
