[Guide] How to make your own custom skins

by Jacknmary

Skinning is really a very simple concept.

Download the program Skinner4Moto here:Skinner4Moto

You can find the updates for your specific phone for Skinner4Moto here:http://skinner4moto.de.vu/

You will need a graphics/photo editing program. GIMP is a freeware program and you can get it here:ftp://ftp.gimp.org/pub/gimp/v2.2/

Once you have connected your phone, downloaded and started Skinner4Moto... go to the site mentioned above to get the correct plugin for your model of phone.

Once you are up and running, go to the options menu and select which program you wish to use to edit images. You can direct the program to start GIMP or whatever program you use.

Once that has been accomplished, you will see at the bottom 1/3 of the Skinner4Moto window a button labeled "Pictures". Once you click that button, the list below will be of every image associated with the skin loaded in Skinner4Moto.

Scroll down the list, select the image you want to edit, click "Edit GIF", and your program will start with that image ready for editing.

Be sure to save your work frequently. Save it with your custom skin name in its own folder.

After you have created your image and saved. Go to grouped elements for your font colors and location for network, time and date.

Make sure the font will not blend into your images. You can use the out line on the second color to to bring it out if they are the same color.
