Follow this guide to get your phone to show 12 icons in the menu area instead of 9!

First a picture of what a standard 9 icon menu looks like.

Now what we are tyring to accomplish is to take this 3x3 icon menu and add three more menu icons making it a 3x4 menu.  To do this you will neest two programs, P2k Commander and skiman.

The first step is download the appropiate moddified mma_ucp file on you phone.

For those of you that bought you phone from cingular: mma_ucp  And here is my personal: mma_ucp

For all others: mma_ucp

Next we will want to backup our original mma_ucp file in case anything goes wrong. Open up you favorite p2k program (I like P2k Commander) and browse to the P2k:/a/mobile/system/ directory of your phone, highlight the mma_ucp file and hit copy, it will be copied to the directory you have selected on the left side of P2k Commander.

Next we want to put the modified mma_ucp file on our phone.  On the left side of P2k Commander browse to the directory you saved the mma_ucp file in.  Select it and hit copy.  It will replace the old one you have on your phone.

Awsome the first part is done!  You can close P2k Commander.  Now we just have to modify a skin to use the 12 icon menu on our phone.  Open up skiman and click on the skins tab.

Highlight the skin you want to use.  NOTE: make sure it is a skin you are not currently using on your phone.  Never modify the skin currently used on your phone.

Click more and select "patch SKI in phone"

Check the 3x4 box and then click ok.

Click more and select to restart the phone.

Now You are done!  On your phone select the skin you modiffied and you should have 12 icons.  You can repeat this process to make all of your skins 12 icon ready.

Note: If you cannot access the bottom three items check the last box in skiman "Fix SKI file, if Menu3x4 or Menu3x3 scripts made errors"
