Tcat Arrow TheMotoGuides - Motorola modding taken to the limits.

Adding iTunes with a 1000 Song Limit.

by poetic_folly

If you bought your Motorola Slvr L7 directly from Cingular, then it already has iTunes installed on it. However, it will have a 100 song limit. Also, if you got your phone through an independent dealer, or perhaps bought it online or from a European vendor, then you may not have iTunes installed yet! Thats where this guide comes into play. Many thanks to cyberloner for his initial guide which this is adapted from--you rock!

What you will need.

MotoTunes. This program is used to add/remove music files from your phone, and to create playlists.

MotoMidMan. This program is used to install Java programs (like iTunes) onto your phone.

iTunes. You'll need the hacked version of iTunes, which has a thousand song limit. If you prefer a black skin, get it here.

MotoKit. Used for uploading the modded 0002_0005 seem to your phone in order to create the iTunes menu shortcut (Menu, then 5).

Modded 0002_0005 Seem. Need for your phone in order to create the iTunes menu shortcut (Menu, then 5).

For now, download all the files, and get them extracted, and install the programs if you don't already have them on your computer.

Once you have obtained all the needed files, go ahead and check out the Flash tutorial under this message to get started connecting your phone to your computer! If the Flash file hasn't loaded yet, give it a sec--its large, so a little bit of load time is expected! If you can't view Flash, go here to download the plugin for your browser. If, for whatever reason, you need to use the illustrated guide instead of the Flash version, no worries--there will be a link to it under the Flash presentation as soon as I have it finished.
