Changing the Boot Screen Image.

by dev.meena

WARNING This Method is for advance dusers.
Even if you have followed my guide properly, I take no responsibility if anything goes wrong during or after the process

Here is a guide for changing the Hellomoto and Welcome screen that flash whenever you restart and switch off your mobile
Full credit goes to Supshow from www.motox.info and overgrown moose from www.modmymoto.com.
I have only written this in a systematic manner.
Tools you will need for doing it
1) A patched MP (i am using .3CR)
2)Flash & Backup 3.00.58
3) Samsung Flash Imager (SFI);
4) Motorola Bootscreen Replacer by 0vZ

Here is the guide
1) Save the backup of your MP using FB3.0.58 in SMG format
here is the screen shot.

Split the MP with FB3.0.58 and save them in cg's.

1)once this is done Open CG 1 (in .smg format) in Samsung Flash Imager

2) Now enter the correct parameters: "Цвет(bpp)" (color) = "16bpp", "Ширина" (width) = "176", "Высота" (height) = "220".

and change the 0app to 16bpp

3) Click on "Применить размер" (apply parameters).
We now see a screen with a colored mosaic

4) Start clicking on "Кадр+" (frame+) until we see Hellomoto or Welcome bootsplash (depending on which image you are going to replace). If the bootsplash is not displayed properly, click "Байт+" (Byte+)
like this

5) Similarly find for welcome screen aswell
here are the HEX value for my MP
Hellomoto = 533F61
Welcome=51FDF9

it may vary for the MP that you use,but the procedure is same.
Now for the second part and easy part

1)Open the folder where Motorola Bootscreen Replacer is installed and open the offset.ini file.

2)You need to create a profile for your phone model.
here have a look,it must be similar to ur s/w value

3)Now save it

4)Now open Motorola Boot screen replacer
and click on open flash file and open the cg1 where u want the new image

5) this is how it will look like..

6) Now choose a new image your custom bootsplash image (176х220, 24 bit)

7)This is how my image looks like

8) then click on "Save Flash". Repeat the procedure for the second bootsplash if necessary

7)Generate a reflash with RAM Downloader and CGs 1, 3, 7, 18 using FB3

8) Flash it using RSD Lite.
